2025: Preview

Over 40,000 people from 135 nations have registered. Among them are two of Germany’s most prominent runners, Gesa Krause and Richard Ringer. Krause is a two-time European champion in the 3000m steeplechase and won silver at the 2024 European Championships in Rome. Ringer, meanwhile, claimed the European marathon title in Munich 2022. In Berlin, both will put themselves to the test over 21.0975 kilometres. The 44th GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON promises to be a spectacular sporting event, kicking off the 2025 running season on the streets of the capital. In this digital event magazine, you’ll find everything you need to know about Germany’s biggest half marathon, which will take place on 6 April 2025 on an even more exciting course, including some entirely new segments. We’ll introduce the favourites, as well as a few inspiring individuals running with a special personal motivation. As the organizer of the GENE- RALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON, SCC EVENTS welcomes you to one of the highlights in endurance sports in spring 2025. With record participation in disciplines such as hand biking, wheelchair racing, skating, and running, over 40,000 participants will gather at the starting line in the vibrant capital of Germany on April 6th. continues, and we are delighted that this sport holds a significant place in the lifestyle of more and more young people. Here in Berlin, not only personal best times are achieved, but also unforgettable memories are created that inspire and connect. To make the event even more attractive for both athletes and spectators, the course has been optimized: Flatter and more straight, it leads along the final 2 km straight towards the Brandenburg Gate, along the splendid boulevard „Unter den Linden“. Participants and spectators alike will experience an exciting showdown with bands and cheering zones. The tension mounts with every step towards the finish line. Last year, over five percent of the runners completed the 21.0975 kilometers in under 1:30 hours. These top performances are expected to be surpassed in 2025 for the reasons mentioned above. However, the event stands not only for athletic achievement but also for the power of movement that connects people and strengthens communities.
