Der Ultraboost 19 ist nicht nur eine Weiterentwicklung des Vorgängermodells, sondern ein komplett neuer Schuh. Für die Neuauflage von adidas legendärstem Laufschuh wurde die Originalversion des Ultraboost komplett zerlegt und von ursprünglich 17 Einzelteilen auf vier Hauptkomponenten reduziert. Der Neue besteht aus 20 Prozent mehr Boost TM -Material in der Zwischensohle, das für eine noch bessere Energierückführung sorgen soll. Eine leichte Torsion-Federung zur besseren Stützfunktion beim Aufsetzen des Fußes ermöglicht einen schnelleren Übergang in die Vorwärtsbewegung und soll eine explosivere Abrollbewegung garantieren. Wie schon bei den Vorgängermodellen sorgt Continental-Gummi in der Außensohle für perfekten Grip auch auf nassem Terrain. Neu ist auch das 360 Grad Primeknit-Obermaterial, das den Fuß wie eine zweite Socke umschließt und gleichzeitig Flexibilität und optimalen Halt während dem Laufen bietet. Der reduzierte 3D-Fersenrahmen bettet die Ferse nach wie vor gut ein und gewährleistet auch in der Neuauflage optimalen Halt, ohne die Bewegungsfreiheit einzuschränken. An der Weiterentwicklung des Ultraboost waren nicht nur Experten von adidas beteiligt. Tausende adidas Runners wurden nach ihrer Meinung gefragt. Schnell war klar, was Läufer am Ultraboost am meisten schätzen: Komfort. Diese Eigenschaft sollte auch bei der Neuauflage im Vordergrund stehen. Herausgekommen ist schließlich getreu der Philosophie „Rethought. Recoded. Reboosted“ der bisher reaktivste Laufschuh von adidas.
